Forum Update

I trust all is well in your world. There has been a lot of activity with the CPG Branding and Marketing Forum! Did you know that marketers from over 1,400 cities and 70 countries have visited this site?

On the website, our contributors have posted a number of new items over the past few weeks. Steve Friedman shares his thoughts on “Building Grassroots Success”, Simon Williams describes the new identity statement of devices, Jim Joseph looks beyond to reach the college market and Tracy Pepe provides the next installment in her “Smell Diary” series.

Review the backgrounds of the over twelve current contributors here. Links their site posts and Linkedin profiles are available.

If you would like to be considered as a contributor or if you are interested in submitting book reviews or book excerpts for publication on the site, please send an email to the editor. Be sure to include your name, company’s name and contact information with your email, as well as a description of how you would like to contribute to our community. I hope you will join us!

In other news, forum member Bob Gilbreath, Chief Marketing Strategist at Bridge Worldwide, just got back last month from the Cannes Lions Ad Festival where he co-hosted a seminar with, Jim Stengel, former Global Marketing Officer of P&G. In their seminar, Bob and Jim addressed today’s marketing and advertising disruption by asking a Burning Question aimed to help organizations plot a new path. The panel brought together interviews with Chief Marketing Officers from PepsiCo, Luxottica, Kraft Foods, AT&T, IBM, Procter & Gamble, Samsung, and Levi’s.

Additionally, the group forum on Linkedin has seen many new discussions posted. Forum members, John Owen, Sandie Glass, Drew Seifried, Rodney Mason, Andreas von der Heydt, Joanna Thommee, Bryce Quayle, Ken Beals, Mark Prus, Rick Mathieson, Kevin Freedman and Jill McBride have recently posted discussions, just to name a few.

Join in the conversation—add comments to the existing topics or start your own discussion today! We’d love to hear you thoughts on my own discussion on “How often has the packaging concept you fell in love with fallen short on press and at shelf?”

That’s it for now, be sure to check the forum on the website or Linkedin for all the latest!

Best regards,
– Tom
