2009, What a Year It’s Been!

Happy Holidays from CPG Branding and Marketing Forum

As 2009 draws to a close, I would like to wish all members of the CPG Branding and Marketing Forum blessings during this holiday season. While the year has been fraught with many economic challenges, there are many exciting prospects on the horizon.

Let’s continue to share ideas and create business opportunities, by leveraging both the CPG Branding and Marketing Forum on Linkedin and now online at http://cpgbranding.com/ .

New on the Linkedin forum this week is Rowland Heming’s posting on why “Now is the Time to Believe in Your Brand” and Donald Riker’s discussion, “Is Male Celebrity Endorsement Dead?” Also, be sure to review Amanda Power’s call for speaker proposals for IIR’s Shopper Insights in Action Conference and Emily Gannett’s posting on sponsorship opportunities for 2nd Annual Social Media Week Conference.

In other news, the website is proud to announce the support of three new sponsors—Taproot Foundation, ReBrand and Link Training and Consulting. Please take some time to get acquainted with these three great organizations.

Additionally, the group would also like to welcome two new contributors to the website. Rhonda Page from Dossier Creative in Toronto and Rochelle Fainstein from Sterling Brands in New York will both be adding to the growing content on http://cpgbranding.com/ . This week Rhonda has posted “Why Design Matters” to the consumer and Rochelle has taken a look at the analogy of retail-ready packaging and women in “Think Inside the Big Box.”

We are actively recruiting new contributors. If you would like to be considered as a contributor to the site, please send an email to editor@cpgbranding.com. Be sure to include your name, company’s name and contact information with your email, as well as a description of how you would like to contribute to our community.

Best regards,
– Tom
